He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Padjadjaran University, Bandung in 1981, and continued his Specialist Education in the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Indonesia in 1993.
He has devoted himself for 27 years in the field of medicine, especially surgery.
He is active as a member of the Indonesian Doctors Association and the Indonesian Surgeons Association.
